I'm attempting to use the runFromCsv using the cli to adjust page permissions - view, edit in a space.
*I have created a csv file containing: *
"userId", "space", "title"
alpha029384Id, SpaceName, PageOne
alpha029385Id, SpaceName, PageTwo
I'm running the command:
and I get back:
I've also tried to place only ids in the csv - one per line and then run this command for the displayed result.
I can edit permissions when I send commands for one user at a time, but nothing with runFromCsv
Is this possible to batch out a group of permissions in cloud?
Am I forming the command incorrectly or doing something else wrong?
working on a mac with atlassian-cli-8.8.0 connecting to cloud account - Jira has CLI app installed
Please run the following:
You should see that it reports that you do not have a valid Confluence CLI install or license similar to the error message you mentioned. The Confluence app is distinct from the Jira app. You can install the app using:
You need to go into Confluence Manage Apps and add an evaluation license for the app.
Just to explain your results, for Cloud we do not check the license on every request, so often single request may work. However, run actions do require a valid license to run.
Once you get your licensing working, your CSV stuff should work.
Thanks for the quick response.
I do get your stated expected result, with the getServerInfo command.
Please let us know if you need any further information, else will move ahead and resolve the request.
We are moving ahead and resolving the request as we didn't get any response from you, Looking forward to work with you on another issue.
Please feel free to reopen the request if in case you need any further assistance.
Hi Vijay. Yes it’s fine to close this. I have to go through an approval process to install a new app and then test. It could take a few more days. I will update for the record once I have info.
