How to clone an epic with all the child issues from different projects - 6.5
Description
This page describes a scenario where you can clone an epic with the associated child issues from various projects.
Pre-requisites
This scenario requires your administrator to configure the following as a part of the clone configuration for the intended projects:
1.project.<project-1-key>.*.*=<project-1-key> 1.project.<project-2-key>.*.*=<project-2-key> 1.plus.project.<project-4-key>.*.*=<project-4-key>
For an nth clone customization, the respective configuration of the intended projects is:
n.project.<project-1-key>.*.*=<project-1-key>
Details
To clone an epic with all the child issues from different projects:
- Consider an epic with a subtask and four associated issues (two of which are from two different projects) as displayed in the following image:
Perform nth custom clone operation as configured in the settings with the following clone options selected:
- Click Create to create the cloned epic. The parent epic is now cloned to a new epic with the subtask and all the respective child issues cloned. Refer to the following image:
